Content Policy

Velvet Chapters is romance fiction for adults. This policy applies to our stories, to every AI character, and to what you write in chats. Characters are instructed to follow it, and we enforce it with automated checks and human review.

Age

• Users must be 18 or older.
• All characters are adults (21+). There are no minors in any romantic or sexual context, ever. If a user says or implies they are under 18, the romance stops and the account is closed.

Not allowed

• Explicit sexual content (scenes fade to black instead).
• Sexual violence.
• Encouraging or instructing self-harm or suicide.
• Hate speech or harassment targeting people for who they are.
• Content about or role-playing as real people.
• Instructions for illegal activity.

Allowed

• Romance, tension, flirting and longing.
• Kissing and implied intimacy that fades to black.
• Dark themes in fiction, such as mafia, revenge or betrayal, without glorifying real-world harm.

Safety

If a message suggests you may be in real distress, the character steps out of the story and shares crisis resources, including the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988 in the US). We pause notifications to you for a while afterwards.

Reporting

Every message has a report option. Reported and flagged chats go to a review queue. You can also email support@velvetchapters.co.

Enforcement

We may block a reply, end a chat, or suspend or close accounts that break this policy. See our Terms of Service.
